Role: Veterinary Surgeon – Senior Vet (in-patients)
Department: Small Animal – (in-patients)
Reports to: Clinical Director
Overview of Role:
As a key member of our veterinary practice team, you’ll be providing top-notch clinical and professional services to our valued customers and their furry companions. From preventative care to diagnostic and therapeutic treatments, you’ll be at the forefront, ensuring the best possible outcomes. If you have a passion for internal medicine and ECC, this role is tailor-made for you! You’ll also have the opportunity to mentor and support our junior vets, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assess and formulate comprehensive treatment plans for all cases, ensuring adherence to practice protocols.
- Maintain open communication with clients, keeping them informed of their pet’s progress and associated costs.
- Complete accurate clinical records and ensure thorough charging of goods and services.
- Collaborate with charities and rescue centers to provide veterinary care for animals in need.
- Provide mentorship and support to junior team members.

Skills/Qualifications:
- MRCVS qualification is a must.
- ECC/internal medicine qualification or working towards one.
- Proficiency in diagnostic imaging (x-rays, ultrasound, +/- CT).
- Strong communication skills across all levels.
- Ability to prioritize work based on clinical urgency.
- Attention to detail is your middle name!
Hours/Salary/Benefits:
- 36 hours per week, with a flexible schedule from 8 am to 8 pm.
- Competitive salary ranging from 55-65k per year pro rata, depending on experience and qualifications.
