A brand‑new, purpose‑built small animal practice is opening in West London, and we are looking for two experienced Veterinary Surgeons to join the team from day one. This is a rare opportunity to help shape a new surgery alongside the Head Vet, influence how care is delivered and play a key role in building a positive, supportive team culture.

This role is ideal for vets who want more than a standard clinical position — it offers genuine input into how the practice operates, how workflows are designed and how the team works together.

The Practice The surgery has been designed to be light, spacious and modern, with a calm environment for patients and an inspiring workspace for the team. Facilities include:

  • Eight consult rooms
  • Three operating theatres
  • Separate dental and imaging suites
  • Large prep area and dedicated wards
  • Modern diagnostics and equipment throughout

You will be joining a practice built with wellbeing, efficiency and high‑quality care in mind.

The Role You will be a key clinical leader within the practice, delivering excellent first‑opinion care and helping set the standard for the wider team.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Consulting, diagnosing and treating a wide range of cases
  • Performing routine and more advanced surgical procedures
  • Delivering preventive healthcare and supporting long‑term wellbeing
  • Building trusted client relationships
  • Supporting and mentoring the nursing team
  • Leading by example in clinical governance and patient care

We are looking for confident GP vets with at least three years’ experience. A clinical interest is welcomed and can be supported through CPD and development pathways.

Working Pattern

  • 4 days per week (9‑hour shifts)
  • 1 in 4 weekends
  • Average 39 hours per week
  • Dedicated admin time built into every shift

Professional & Financial Benefits

  • Quarterly recognition payments
  • Salary £50,000–£70,000 depending on experience
  • CPD allowance and funded memberships
  • Leadership training and career progression opportunities
  • Income protection
  • Electric car scheme

Work‑Life Balance & Wellbeing

  • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
  • Enhanced maternity and paternity pay
  • Wellbeing support
  • Compassionate leave

Everyday Perks

  • Generous staff discounts on treatments and products
  • Free consultations for your own pets
  • Retail, travel and lifestyle discounts
  • Free parking and uniform

About the Practice This surgery is part of a wider independent veterinary group focused on delivering high‑quality care in modern, supportive environments. The group invests in its people, encourages development and aims to create workplaces where colleagues genuinely enjoy coming to work.

You’ll thrive in this role if you:

  • Care deeply about patient outcomes and client experience
  • Enjoy working collaboratively and supporting others
  • Communicate clearly and confidently
  • Are proactive, organised and calm under pressure
  • Want to be part of building something new from the ground up

If you’re looking for a role where you can help shape a brand‑new practice and influence how it grows, we’d love to hear from you.
