My client in the Brighton & Hove area is seeking an experienced and surgically competent locum vet to cover a maternity position anticipated to last 9 months, starting in late September 2025.

This role requires cover on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, with the possibility of reducing to two days per week from early 2026.

Working hours will vary depending on the day:

Consulting days: either 8am–4pm or 9am–5pm

Operating days: 8am–7pm

No out-of-hours, but there is a 1:4 Saturday rota, 8am–1pm

You’ll be joining a 4–5 vet boutique practice with a fantastic team and award-winning facilities.

The ideal candidate will be:

Confident in both surgery and consulting

A great communicator with strong client care skills

Comfortable working independently within a small, supportive team

Rate: £450 per day
Please note: This role is only available to vets working via an umbrella company payroll.
