An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a Veterinary Surgeon to join a proudly independent, award‑winning small animal practice in Hampshire. The practice opened its hospital‑standard premises in 2023 and has since expanded to a 24/7 service with a dedicated night team. The Role
The practice is seeking a vet with a strong interest in internal medicine. Certificate holders or Advanced Practitioners are highly encouraged to apply, but motivated vets looking to pursue further qualifications will also be fully supported.
You will join a highly experienced clinical team and contribute to a varied caseload, with opportunities to work up complex medical cases, collaborate with certificate holders and utilise advanced equipment including a laparoscopic surgical suite.
The Team
You will be joining a large, diverse and supportive team including:
• 14 Veterinary Surgeons
• 12 RVNs plus 3 dedicated night RVNs
• 11 Client Care team members
• Peripatetic specialists in cardiology, orthopaedics and ophthalmology
The team includes multiple certificate holders and vets working towards postgraduate qualifications in surgery, medicine, cardiology, ophthalmology and ECC. This collaborative approach ensures excellent continuity of care and strong clinical support.
Facilities & Investment
The practice is expanding further, with plans to introduce:
• Three operating theatres
• A separate dental suite
• Isolation unit
• Dedicated CT space
• Full laparoscopic surgical suite (already in place)
The practice is committed to ongoing investment in equipment, imaging and surgical capability to support clinical excellence.
The Rota
• 4‑day week with a fixed day off
• Early finish 4 out of every 5 weeks
• Protected lunch breaks
• Protected admin time daily
• 1 in 5 weekends (Saturday & Sunday 08:00–19:00) with time off in lieu
• Two long weekends per 5‑week cycle
• No out‑of‑hours (dedicated night team on‑site)
This rota is designed to support work‑life balance, clinical development and consistent time away from work.

• Salary £40,000–£75,000 DOE
