My client is looking for an Out of Hours Vet to join their team:
About them:
They are a tier 3 hospital status practice with a fantastic local reputation. The practice is a bit of a hybrid between first opinion and a referral clinic, due to both the facilities available and the experience of their team. They currently have 17 vets, which are a
mix of full-time and part time.
The main hospital has access to a high end ultrasound machine, digital radiography, dental radiography,
endoscopy/rhinoscopy/bronchoscopy, electrocautery, laparoscopy, tonometry and slit lamp and more.
Our biggest branch also has access to digital radiography including dental, and ultrasound and a fully
equipped lab. The hospital lab can run most things including T4, SDMA, Cortisol, Bile acids, Cpli/Fpli,
Coags, urine sediments etc, and they have access to the Imagyst for rapid haematology and cytology
interpretations if needed.
They pride ourselves on providing the best first opinion veterinary care to our patients, utilising their
heavily experienced veterinary team in a multi-disciplinary approach. They are fortunate to have many
certificate holders. These include Surgery, Internal Medicine, Ophthalmology, and
Anaesthesia. We currently have vets working towards certificates in Surgery, Imaging, Internal
Medicine, Endoscopy and Dermatology.
Their two surgery certificate holders carry out more complex procedures on a regular basis, which
includes BOAS surgery, cruciate surgery (eg TPLO/CCWO), patella surgeries, fracture repair,
cholecystectomy, liver lobe resection, TECAs and so on. They also have access to laser therapy,
acupuncture and physiotherapy within the clinics. They emphasise a team approach and developing the
individual.
Area:
The town is situated midway between Nottingham and Derby. With easy
access from the J24 and J25 of the M1. It also features its own train station, great bus
service and only a short distance from East Midlands Airport. Making this a fantastic opportunity for
commuters!

They are a friendly team of like minded professionals, with a shared view of caring for their customers
beloved pets as if they were their own.
