A busy, independent small animal practice in North London is seeking a confident, experienced Veterinary Receptionist to join their friendly team. This is a key client‑facing role within a fast‑paced environment, ideal for someone who enjoys communication, organisation and supporting both clients and clinical staff.
The Role This is a permanent, full‑time position working Monday to Friday, 6 hours per day. The rota includes:
Weekday shifts: 07:30–13:30 or 13:30–19:30
Up to 9 Saturdays per year: 08:30–14:30
No bank holidays (the practice is closed)
Duties include:
Greeting clients and providing excellent customer service
Using the TELEOS PMS system
Registering new clients and pets
Monitoring and responding to messages via PetsApp
Communicating with clients and relaying messages to the clinical team
Emailing written prescriptions to online pharmacies
General administrative tasks
Maintaining a clean and tidy reception area
The practice encourages CPD for all reception staff and values proactive, supportive team members who communicate well and help maintain smooth daily operations.
