Hi all,
I’m reaching out on behalf of my client in Nottinghamshire who are looking for a skilled and personable small animal locum vet to cover a longer term maternity placement.
The Practice are currently looking to find a wonderful Locum Vet, for the purpose of Maternity Cover, ideally as a Fixed Term Contractor, or a registered Sole Trader to invoice the clinic directly, as a long-term Locum placement.
I have outlined the brief below:
Time Period: Cover required for up to 9 months – Starting from Monday 2nd September 24 up to (and possibly including) May 25.
Weekly Shifts: 4 days per week (Tuesday – Friday) with 1 in 4 Saturday’s – AM only.
Shift Start & End Times: 8:45am – 6:30pm Tuesday – Friday & 8:30am – 1pm on Saturday (Mondays off)
Supporting Team: 4 excellent receptionists, 3 Qualified RVNs and 2 exceptions VCAs
Experience and Expectations: This is a mix of Ops and Consults. There will be at least one day of Operations per week. Sole Charge on Saturday with support of 1 RVN and 1 Receptionist (Saturday consists mostly of ‘on the day’ appointments)
More about the Practice…
The practice are a lovely friendly and supportive unit with no team turbulence, who equally won’t tolerate ‘turbulence-makers’. They are a welcoming and inclusive Team and very thankful for everyone’s hard work and input. They value high standards and attention to detail. It is a small-medium sized Practice, quite busy, with a high proportion of insured clients. The Practice is next to a canal which can provide nice walks in the spring/summer and also next to a large Morrisons which is very handy! There is ample free parking outside. Diagnostics on site include digital x-ray, microscope, biochemistry, ultrasound. The Practice refers out for orthopaedics, advanced internal medicine and advanced cardiology.
They are looking for a pleasant, friendly Vet who is interested in their career and enjoys working as a Team to achieve high standards of care. They must love engaging with clients and promoting and contributing to our friendly reputation.
Rate of Pay
This is a Maternity Cover and as such offers a fantastic longer-term opportunity, ideal for an FTC or Locum Vet, offering guaranteed income for 9 months. The Practice is therefore ideally looking to pay £450 per day). Please note accommodation or extra fuel costs cannot be included, so you will need to be a Vet living locally.
