A well‑established small animal practice in East Essex is seeking an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join its friendly, supportive team. The Practice This is a modern, community‑focused practice with a strong reputation for high‑quality first‑opinion care. The team includes experienced vets, a supportive nursing team, VCAs, receptionists and a dedicated Practice Manager. The practice works closely with a visiting certificate holder in small animal surgery, enabling a wide range of procedures to be managed in‑house.
Regular clinical meetings, in‑house CPD and a collaborative culture ensure consistent standards and strong communication. The team also enjoys regular social meet‑ups, contributing to a positive and cohesive working environment.
Facilities include:

Caseload includes routine procedures, dentistry, mass removals, basic ophthalmic surgery, emergency surgeries (such as pyometra, C‑section, foreign bodies, cystotomies) and wound management. The practice sees predominantly dog and cat cases, with some small furries and exotics.
The Role The practice is seeking a confident small animal vet with strong routine surgical and consulting skills. Applicants with 3–4+ years’ UK experience are preferred. Those seeking a Senior or Clinical Lead position are encouraged to apply.
