A busy, well‑established small animal practice in Essex is seeking an enthusiastic Veterinary Surgeon to join its large, supportive clinical team. The Practice The team includes experienced vets, RVNs, student nurses, VCAs and receptionists, all working together to deliver high‑quality first‑opinion care. The practice benefits from a wide range of clinical interests across medicine, soft tissue surgery and orthopaedics, with support available for certificate study.
The surgery is purpose built to industry‑leading standards and equipped with:
- Two dedicated operating theatres
- Digital radiography
- Ultrasound
- In‑house laboratory
- Full endoscopy
- CT scanner
- Modern diagnostic and monitoring equipment
The practice continues to invest in facilities and technology to enhance the services offered to clients and patients.
The Role Due to the varied caseload, applicants must have existing UK experience and be confident with routine surgical procedures, diagnostics and occasional sole charge. At least three years’ experience is required, including strong internal medicine skills.

- Full‑time hours across four weekdays
- Weekend rota: 1 in 6 full weekends and 1 in 6 Saturdays
- Part‑time hours considered

Person Specification
- RCVS‑registered Veterinary Surgeon
- Minimum three years’ UK small animal experience
- Confident with routine surgery and consults
